Spa At Home

With time tight and cash even tighter, many of us can’t afford to spend a day at the spa. We don’t have to skip the pampering all together, though! On a $30 dollar budget, you can spend a few hours relaxing and rejuvenating at home.

First you need to decide what kind of a “spa day” you’re looking for. Do you want a tropical escape? Passionfruit Guava. An energy boost? Pomegranate Green Tea. Time to unwind? Lavender Soymilk. Organix has a scent that will take you away, no matter what you fancy.

Once you’ve chosen your favorite aroma, add in some ambience. Get a box of unscented tea lights or grab a couple larger candles in a complementary scent. You’ll also need some bath bubbles, a bath bomb, or a soak, whatever you like. While you’re at the store, grab some indulgent reading, whether that’s gossip mags or a good book – whatever makes you happy, this is all about you! If it suits you, a gel eye mask is a nice touch, too.

When you get home, fluff up your bathrobe and towels in the dryer on high heat so that they’re nice and cozy for you when you’re finished. While the towels and robe fluff, light your candles and get whatever else you need (magazines, book, eye mask, etc-). Put everything within arm’s reach of the tub so that once you’re in, you can really relax.

Fill up the tub, get your bath soak going, light the candles, then grab your robe and towels right before you’re ready to get in. Have a nice, long, relaxing soak. Read, rest, unwind, enjoy taking this time just for yourself. Dip your head in the water, use some of your favorite Organix shampoo and get it washed, then add on the conditioner. If you’d like, let your conditioner sit on your hair as a mask while you relax, then use the shower head to rinse when you’re ready.

Once you’ve finished with your bath, wash and condition once more with your Organix shampoo and conditioner. This will get any bath water residue off of your hair, and will also give you some more time to indulge in the fabulous scents!

Organix shampoo and conditioner: about $14; Candles, bath soak, magazine, eye mask: all about $4 each. There you have it. Spa at home for under $30!
